VME – Vienna Music Event – was founded by Austrian clarinetist, composer and conductor Kurt Schmid. Throughout his successful international career as a solo clarinetist, conductor, composer, professor and Vice-President of the Wiener MusikSeminar, Kurt Schmid set up an international network and gained experience in the organization of concerts, festivals and concert tours. It gave him the idea of creating a music event management company that would help musicians from around the globe to share their passion for music with large audiences.

VME contributes to the career development of musicians by giving them the opportunity to participate in the Debut Nights Concert Series at the best concert venues in Austria and to perform with various symphony orchestras.
